"THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR. HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED,  TO PROCLAIM THE FAVORABLE YEAR OF THE LORD."

Matthew 1:18-22

1.  God is with us today in the sense that salvation is available for all people

2.  God is with us today in the form of the indwelling of His Holy Spirit 

         A.   The Holy Spirit of God teaches believers the word of the Lord

         B.   The Holy Spirit of God helps believers remember the word of the Lord

         C.  The Holy Spirit of God gives us eteranl peace

3.  Rejoice in the salvation and presence of God  

        A.  Thank God for the gift of himself

       B.   Worship God for the gift of salvation
